xdp dominates Base with $58 million in volume across seven tokens

One theme carried nearly twice the infrastructure volume of the entire chain, while the field fragmented everywhere else.

xdp was the only story on Base yesterday. Seven tokens bearing the theme pushed $58,382,003 through in 24h volume—that is nearly double the $29,372,050 that moved through USDC and WETH pairs, which is to say nearly double the actual plumbing of the chain. No synthetic candidates were culled from the pile. The theme arrived clean.

Everything else on Base was thin or scattered. DGUY spread across 14 tokens for $731,058, with one more candidate rejected as too shallow to count. PEPE split three ways on $4,836. DOG managed $3,333 across two tokens. By the time you reach LUNC at $99, you are looking at archaeological volumes. Eleven new pools launched in the last day, mostly noise—three separate IRYS entries, one RBT, one REBATE.

xdp's top carrier on the chain, the token named xdp itself, accounted for $50,926,135 of that $58 million. The rest of the ranked volume—AXIS at $22 million, PROS at $9.5 million—ran on entirely different themes. Base had one bet yesterday, and it was xdp.

No 24-hour volume reported at all, which means you're looking at something with essentially no liquidity — you can't move in or out at any meaningful size. Cabbage launched this knowing full well what those figures mean, and I don't credit the restraint of someone choosing silence over substance.

I've no history with Cabbage so I'm taking this at face value: a launch this small with no volume data is barely a launch at all, and I'm waiting to see if there's actual trading happening or just wishful tokenomics.
